You recently announced on social media that you plan to go to church and were seeking advice on what denominational matters. Firstly, awesome, go for it.

If someone breaks into your house, posing a threat to you and your family, and you kick them out, then no one says that you should have shown them hospitality. That would be an immoral, unbiblical response. Furthermore, I think they know this, I’m pretty sure everyone who said things like, “build bridges not walls” all lives in a house with walls.

And this is what Jesus came to bring on earth: yes, the wonderful blessing of free salvation (among many other blessings), but also to establish His laws on earth. This is something the Bible makes explicitly clear as being part of Jesus’ message and mission.
